HISTORY

Below you will find a list of Tuska artists, year by year.

27.-29.6.2014. Seventeenth annual Tuska Open Air Metal Festival gathered 24 000 metal maniacs to Suvilahti, Helsinki. This early summer had been particulary cold and rainy in Finland, therefore it was to everyone's surprise and delight, when the skies open up and the sun came out for entire Friday and Saturday. On the other hand, Tuska experienced its first rainy day on Sunday. The gloomy weather went hand in hand with the dark ambience of the day's program, spearheaded by Emperor and Satyricon.

Tuska 2014 Artists:

Emperor, Anthrax, Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Satyricon, Bring Me The Horizon, Neurosis, Carcass, Stone, Philip H. Anselmo & The Illegals, Shining (SE), Turmion Kätilöt, Insomnium, Ensiferum, Orphaned Land, Metal Church, We Came As Romans, Poisonblack, Lost Society, Battle Beast, Tankard, Powerwolf, Nails, Hamferð, Santa Cruz, Amoral, Beastmilk, Amendfoil, Cutdown, Psykoanalyysi, Shear, Ranger, Speedtrap, Mr. Peter Hayden, Altair, Cannibal Accident, Arion, DieSear, Ego Fall, Church Of The Dead.

This year Tuska crowd's sense of humor was tested by stand up comedians Ali Jahangiri, Robert Petterson and Ida Grönlund.

2014 was another success. Maybe not to the extent of the ”crazy years” of metal we experienced in the last decade but we're in a good place right now. It's an honor and priviledge to organize a festival for such loyal and appreciative people. Tuska crowd, you are the best.

Round 18 coming up next summer.

28.-30.6.2013. Sixteenth annual Tuska was celebrated in the Suvilahti venue for the third time. The venue had undergone some structural changes, the stages were shuffled around a bit, services improved and schedule tightened. The program once again offered a wide array of the best music in the world.

Nevertheless, Tuska stood its ground, gathering 25 000 metalheads over the weekend. That is nothing short of impressive and credit for that goes to you, Tuska-goers, you rule.

Looking forward to 2014 already.
